Repair Service Policy
Our 3 months Repair Service Guarantee. If we service your computer and we did not do it correctly, we will fix it at no further cost to you up to 3 months after the repair date on the service invoice
Software issues including viruses or operating system errors are not covered under our warranty.
The guarantee does not cover issues that may develop within the guarantee period that are not related to services performed or to the original issue or symptom diagnosed and repaired.
All refurbished parts and computers come with a 90-day hardware warranty. We will extend the warranty to 1 year for 15% of the repair price on any computer or laptop ( $40 minimum warranty cost)

Collecting of Personal Information
We collect and store personal information that you give us when you come to our store, register on our website, complete an application, place an order, enrol in a promotional program, call us or send us an email. This information may include your name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number, credit card number and expiration date and other information.
We use the personal information we collect to process your orders, identify you within our system, contact you if we have questions about your order, notify you about new services or special promotional programs
LaptopFixNZ may collect anonymous to demographic information, which is unique to you, such as your address, zip code, Internet IP address, and more. We may gather additional personal or non-personal information in the future.
Information about your computer hardware and software may be automatically collected. This information can include but is not limited to, your Internet IP Address, browser type, domain names, access times, and referring web site addresses. This information is used for the operation and protection of the laptopfixnz.com website, and to maintain quality of the service and provide general statistics regarding the use of the laptopfixnz.com website.
Accessing Data on Customer devices
As part of our required diagnostic testing, certain applications containing customer data ( such as camera and messaging applications), may need to access to throughly test the device's functionality. This process is essential to insuring we have done our due diligence in repairing your device to the best of our ability. This information is never intentionally exposed in any way and will not be mishandled or sold to third party companies for any purpose.
LaptopfixNZ will never transfer or copy data on a customer's device to any other equipment without customers express consent or unless the operation is required to complete the services requested by the customer.
LaptopFixNZ does not guarantee the security or safety of your data. While we take every precaution possible to make sure the integrity of your data is unaffected, we cannot assume liability for any lost data as a result of services performed by LaptopFixNZ
If we are aware that a procedure may result in loss of data, we will inform you of the possibility, what data may be affected, and will offer to back your data up at an additional cost. However, due to the complex nature of electronic devices, we cannot in advance predict what may happen to your data in every situation. We strongly encourage you to back up any important files and documents before you bring your device in for service.
All repairs must be paid in full before the computer system leaves our repair shop.
Computers that have been purchased or repaired cannot be taken out of the shop until we have received payment in full.
We do not require upfront payment for a diagnostic check and will not ask you for a deposit unless we need to order parts and you elect to hold on to your device until parts come in.
LaptopFixNZ accepts cash or Internet Banking ( no EFTPOS)
LaptopFixNZ does not accept checks. Please have the full total due ready when you come to pick up your device.
Responsibility to Pick up Devices
Due to space limitation, LaptopFixNZ requests that you pick your equipment promptly.
LaptopFix NZ will make every effort to contact you when your service and/or repair is completed.
After 30 days from initial contact, LaptopFixNZ will charge a storage fee of $20.00 per month for product left. After 60 days from the initial date of contact, LaptopFixNZ will declare the product abandoned, and sell the product to recover costs associated with diagnostics, parts and labour for repair.
Gift Certificates and Gift Cards.
LaptopfixNZ is not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates. Certificates should be treated as cash. Card cannot be redeemed for cash. Card value is in currency identified on the card. The total value of the card must be redeemed at once. These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.

All used items are sold "AS-IS" and contain no warranty or return authorization policy
We accept mail-in repair at our repair shop, but only after you have filled out the form. The address is as follows:

We do not like to accept the motherboard ONLY during the repair. This is because after the board is repaired and installed by someone other than a trained professional there can be room for error. We can not warranty the repair if it was incorrectly installed or damaged during installation.
